I'm away from home so I can't go see for myself and I can't remember for the life of me.

But what is the factory exhaust piping size? Is it 2" or 2 1/4"

No way its 2.5".

Searched already, my keywords brought me to no avail.

I believe that it is 2 1/4, but I could be wrong. Someone back me up...

My 1991 318is is 2.25". (I just ordered a muffler for it.)

So the consensus is 2.25" (2-1/4")

Sounds good. Thought it was around there.
