hi guys


im starting my 318i m40 turbo build

if anyone can help (yes ludiagsm ) please feel free to post advice

i need help with top mount manifold for t3/t4 for RHD e36

i would hate to go through all this hard work and not to be able to see it:D

im gonna make everything myself because the people here just wanna rip you off

what do you think  "stainless steel " or "steam pipe":confused:

here are some pics of the engine bay and cyl. head just had the valves reseated and gave it a light skim (dont want the comp ratio to go up):)

do you guys think this will work?
im thinking of mounting my wastegate like this
it will run off the exhaust housing of the turbo

Are you using a turbo designed with an integrated wastegate, but bypassing it?  Normally the wastegate is plumbed before the turbine/exhaust housing unless you're using one with an integrated wastegate.

It works, but it's not the best place to mount it. I would skip this arragement.

lol yes its "made in china":p

and it does come with gaurentee but its so cheap i wouldnt even bother sending it back  the shipping was almost have the price of the turbo

nope it doesnt have internal wastegate

dont worry guys thats the least of my problems

the guys here want to charge me almost 300usd to make me a freakin top mount manifold

im sticking with my original plan to make everything myself

300usd is no bad! my neukin bottom mount was over 600 and j.volk's top mounts  are a lot of money (>1000usd)
 
if you have time, a mig and a supplier for pipes, you're OK with DIY and you will make experience at welding & fabrication...

just get a m50 ebay manifold and make sure it's the tig welded one and chop like I did and weld a plug in the end ... lol the JB weld my idea for a small air bubble in the weld and then learned that it will prob just burn off haha stupid me !
