Would be fantastic to see four bangers come back to the states. It's been since the E36 that BMW has sold one here. I'm not a big straight-line speed guy so I've always enjoyed having 4 cylinder cars to rev the crap out of when trying to get power.
I think it's silly the new 1 series weighs almost 3400lbs.
+1 It's rediculous! 230lbs, give or take, lighter than a 3 series which is twice its size??? When the 1 series was still speculative here in the states I was thinking of getting one myself. When they were released at practically the same weight as the 3, coupled with no hatchback form (Oh my, the coupe is hideous) I lost aboslutely all of my interest.
