How do you post pictures?

What is the best way to post pictures from "my computer" or from "my pictures". Is there any way to do this or can you just do it through an internet site.

I have never been able to post a pic off my computer. I've asked several times but never got an answer so I think it's not possible. I ended up signing up with imageshack.
I use them because my work has blocked the photobucket site so all I see is little squares with x's in them. grrrrrrr...

I've never had an issue using the photobucket code for posting pictures to forums. I suppose it may be blocked on some networks, but none I deal with, works for me.
