A Novice in need of Exhaust Advice
« on: August 19, 2008, 12:45:52 PM »
The 318 is up for inspection, and it does indeed need a new exhaust.  Having searched a few websites online, I am finding difficulty tracking down a large selection of cat-back exhausts for this car.  I am looking for something that is oem or a bit better, but not something that is outrageously priced, as the car is just used as a daily driver.  I would go with a louder exhaust, but stainless steel and a race-car sound need not apply.  I would be curious to hear some suggestions, and possibly places to buy.  Thank you guys.

There's quite a few strings on this subject. Some with photos and video.

For cheap I just had a local exhaust shop cut off the muffler and weld on the Magnaflow and a Stainless tip. I like the sound and looks. The rest of the piping is just the stock 2.25 inch that was there. Not rusty and plenty big for our engines without massive mods.
