Hi my name is Dany and i just arrived from Portugal,i´m living in Daly City near San Francisco.
As i´m gonna be in the states for some months i quickly realized i needed a car so the search started for something with 4 cilinders (fuel concern),manual(fuel concern and fun) and something i could enjoy in the curves, since i´m afraid of driving as i would in europe in the highway, cops are everywhere
In Europe i drive a front wheel diesel car for commuting and a toyota ae86 for mountain fun and trackdays, here i wanted something that would give me the combined aspects of a everyday car but with the spirit of a lightweight car.
So i purchased a 91 318is

The body is really good and the interior is great, there are two problems with the car, that i hope i will be able to fix
the first problem is, the turn signals are not working, maybe it´s the lighting stalk or some fuse, maybe you could enlighten me on that
The second problem is, the car is idling fine but seems to stutter when i acelerate harder,in gentle throttle pressure it´s almost not a problem, but if i smash the pedal it stutters and it seems its malfiring, what can it be?plugs and wires?
If there is someone in the bay area with an m42 and some time for a noob, it would be really helpfull to drive my car and give me their opinion before starting to waste money guessing the problem
Apart from that i´m really enjoying the car and it seems this is a great community, guess i´m going to learn alot:D
Thanks
Dany
