That is helpful, I can do the math in my head... I was looking for a seat of the pants opinion.  I think it will be fine.  I am rebuilding a subframe and half-shafts so I will stick it in at that point... if I don't like it I will install a 3.73

I think frankie was not too impressed with his 3.73 diff as we spoke on weekend's trackday, too tall gearing I would guess? Maybe it is ok for road but on track you generally want shortest gearing you can get, especially on our smaller engines...

Yep, it is quite nice on the road but on the track...too tall ratio for track use at least for NA 318is.

It is not hopeless, since I was able to snatch 0,5sec of from my lap record in Ahvenisto.

I have been holding off on this swap because my CV joints are shot.  Just need to get to the pull a part, but don't want to!
