Looks like Jordan's new s52'ed 318iS. I wonder how it stacked up against the M3 as far as times go, that thing has to be a monster to control.

Both are clean cars! They are both on forums too. Jordans car looks pretty nice! But I don't like the MT2 wing on any e30. Nice shots.

I meant Jordan's S52 powered e30 compared to the e30 M3 in the pictures. The extra weight of the S52 over the nose of the car coupled with the massive power may have actually produced slower times, that's what I think anyway.

Well, I know that Jordan cannot figure out how his 332 cannot beat the E30 M3. They are very close. He's actually helping me out with my car. He's the one I went to for the suspension and brake upgrade. He is also the one I consult if I have a question. His recommendation, S52 swap. Or M50 swap for 2500 less. After posting these pictures, I stumbled accross his post where he states he is no longer a qualified member. Pretty cool guy.

Autocrossing is a skill that is based on driving ability, car setup and a bit of power. It's so easy to think power is all you need.

Making a car go too fast is entirely possible. Next thing you know you need wide sticky rubber or high priced competition tires to utilize your fun e30.

It's always a nice challenge none the less

True, but I am also reffering to 1/4 mile time.

Wait a minute, you're saying the e30m3 is faster than the swapped e30

A swapped e30 is as fast/faster than an e46m3 depending on the mods done to it.

Oh well.

Well, I remember that discussion when Jordan held a Tech Day at his house. Jordan helped a guy install Bilstein coilovers on an e36 M3. another guy got his fenders rolled on a 540. A TI got H&R race springs I think. And a E36 M3 got a tune up. But when the guy with the E30 M3 showed up, they began having the discussion on how Jordan could not figure it out. This was back in early May or late April. Maybe Jordan's car is faster now. I don't know.

That M3 is mine.  Jordan and I were talking about auto-x times as I have no intention of putting my car on the drag strip.  Jordan has only run a couple of auto-x's so he's still learning but improving very quickly.  Our times haven't been that close yet, as I have a few more years experience, but I bet pretty soon he will be getting closer.

As for his car performing on the track, I drove it on one lap and it's very impressive, but is a handful to control with all the power and inability to fit big enough rubber under the rear.

Ironically I sold Jordan that car last year.  I only had it for a week before he talked me out it.  Of course he's done some unbelievable work to it since then, it was bearly a beater when I bought it.
