Wuzup fellow M42 owners. My name is Alex and I live in Houston, Tx.
I am the proud owner of an E36 318i Convertible thatI purchased back in March. It has a couple of dings and dents on the body and some tear issues with the rag top but I am deffinetely going to take care of that. As long as money permits. As for mods, I have purchased a complete M3 front suspension from a junkyard. The suspension comes with Koni SA's and H&R springs. I have put the deposit down on the rear which also comes with the same setup and I am just currently waiting on more money and my wheels that I ordered. I ordered M6 replica wheels and am looking into purchasing some Michelin Pilot Sport Ps2's.
I will look into the forums before I start asking noob questions about my ride. My biggest concern right now is Power from the M42. I have to admit that I have thought about an M3 engine swap but, I'll just buy an M3 in the future.:D

S52 costs too much money for how much power it gives. Just go turbo
WTB 97+ M3 Front Strut Assembly and 97+ M3 Control Arms (caster is important)
WTB Driver side Diamondschwartz fender PST

Thanks for the welcomes. I have been going around the forum and I have seen much information on here about ITB's, turbo's, Superchargers and N/A set-ups. My car is a convertible so it is definitely a daily driver. But I also know that I want the power to run with the occasional M3. A turbo set-up really interests me but money is a factor. I can do it but will take a lot of time to get everything together. Any suggestions on what I can start off with from bolt-ons that lead to the turbo, to parts that I will need later on is greatly appreciated.

So I haz an update......
My car has been with me since March and now I finally have some stuff going in it.

First up, my car when I got it back in March...

Fast forward to last month and I have sent it out to the shop to get bodywork done and it should be getting painted fairly soon...

Along the way, I have picked up a complete E36 M3 suspension and brake setup. I will be replacing some bushings prior to installing the suspension

The springs are H&R OEM Sport and Koni S/A shocks :D
I will rebuild the calipers and get them painted gloss black and paint the ///M logo on the calipers silver...

On top of that, I will be tossing these bad boys :D

The plastic rear window split in half a couple of weeks ago and the top now has more tears so the top is next, prior to the tires for the wheels. Comments are always welcome.
