HOLY CRAP....88 bucks....That is insane...NAPA shows an upper for $13.89 and the lower for $14.49...
Usually most auto parts stores don't have anything for our cars in stock, so I just order online....Best service and price has been through http://autohausaz.com for me. I believe it free shipping on orders over $50.00.
Lower pan gasket at autohaus is $5.06

I never used a lower oil pan gasket. Metal to metal with some RTV in between for good measure. More reliable than paper gasket.
Sold but not forgotten

This is whats wrong with your car.

Here this should help.

I got my oil pan gasket for $12 from koperformance.com but it took 17days for my parts to come in. but all parts are bmw quality and cheep with free shipping so it worked out.

Be sure to use locktite on all oil pan bolts.

I always have bought all of my BMW parts from http://www.bimmerparts.com - and the parts usually arrive to my location within 2 business days.  Chris (owner) is great and can also get BMW parts not listed in his catalog (I bought my CPS sensor from him, which was a brand new OEM BMW part and it was cheaper than any other vendor).  I've dealt with him for the last 4-5 years now without any issues and bought a slew of parts from him when I owned my prior 1995 M3.

He has (2) different brands of lower pan gasket for $5.34 or $5.41 and the upper pan gasket is $11.42.
