G'day from a convert!
« on: July 18, 2008, 08:17:12 PM »
Hi All,
I used to be a regular reader of bimmerforums, but like a lot of people have found the E30 section is well... sucky :P

I have an e30 318i with the M40 in it... WAIT, Dont crucify me yet hahahahahaha :P  I'm thinking of doing the m42 swap - with fuel the price it is (equivelant of $6.42 a gallon here in Oz - AUD $1.70 a litre) I dont think I'll go for the 325 conv I originally considered.

Anyways.  This is my baby - hopefully with an m42 soonish!

Welcome Tim.

Thats a clean looking car.

Once you get the M42 in you'll never look back. It's the best engine for these cars (short of an S14B20 - try and get parst for that out here).

Where abouts in Melbourne are you from?

I used to live in Port Melb and come down a couple of times a year to go racing at Sandown and Philip Island.

You REALLY need to lower your car...

Otherwise, it looks pretty clean.

Cristian - I'm from outer east on Mt Dandenong (TWISTY ROADS FTW :P)

Yeah, I agree gearheadE30 - way too much space in there, and it rolls in corners pretty bad atm.
