VALEO Alternator

i was wondering if i can use a valeo alternator on my car. the car i have has a bosch alternator.

OK my 318ic 1992 came with a bosch and i ended up putting a VALEO alternator from a 1994 bmw 318ic, SO to answer my own question, yes it does work.
