so ive been reading about people doing a "stomp test" to get codes. can someone please explain how this test is done? thanks in advance!

Ive never heard of a 'stomp test'. What codes are you trying to get OBD codes?

Turn the key to the position just before ignition and press the gas pedal 5 times. Wait a second. You'll get one long light and then it will start rattling off codes if there are any. Write them down. It'll be codes like '1272' etc. Then you can quickly find a cross reference all over the internet.

Something I DON'T know how to do though (unless pulling the battery is the only way?) is to clear the codes to see if they are just old codes or still active.

Search "oil service light" by cobra jet. I just did it,(after a year and a half

) Worked perfect. Sooooooo nice to see those green lights. Thanks to those who posted it.

I get rid of codes by unplugging the battery lol. You can also jump some connections with a wire and reset the oil lights/codes.

The computer resets itself every 60 starts. Also 1444 is the code for NO FAULTS FOUND. that means the check engine light flashes once, pause, four times, pause, four times.....etc. the rest you can RED IS 91's link. K
