the budget was quite low because I got the turbo,injectors and the intercooler for free,other wise I would go with a BIGGER turbo,with this one it's like a factory turbo car,but that's for the upgrade project.As for the price:
Exhaust manifold 150$
emanage the unit 200$
All harnes and pessure sensor for emanage 500$
metal plates, for flanges 30$
3" exhaust pipes with clamps 100$
muffler 120$ on sale
2.5" piping kit 150$
wide band kit LC-1 280$

About that free stuff ,I'm mechanic at a garage specialized in Volvo, VW,it's just me and the oner,but I'm a 10000% bmw guy,I love bmw

If you could possibly post a wiring diagram of what you did that would be awesome and much appreciated. I have access to the units and have stuff for a turbo kit literally lying around, the management has been holding me back.

I'll try to post some diagram ,if you have some soldering and some electronic knowledge it won't be hard.

After 3 days of fights with the LC-1 I managed to make it work properly .This thing it;s so sensible to the power ,if the power drops to much during the cranking goes in recalibration again and because the engine is running it doesn't recalibrate right ,the O2 sensor it's supposed to be in free air during the calibration.

This is the second time I have seen people using M/S50 ebay manifold with the extra 2 cylinders cut off.

Curious if you have any more thoughts on going that route vs. buying one specifically for the M42. Obviously price is the biggest factor. Power numbers could potentially be lowered or at least not optimal..... but if that were the case cost would outweigh the loss (which would be minimal I would guess). Any fitment issues using that manifold trimmed down?
