the plastic thing that clips onto the radiator that goes over the fan (shroud?) its broken and i hear my fan hitting it! will it hurt my car if i remove it? :confused:

If you mean the shroud, you absolutely do need it. Without it, the fan does not "suck". I have one if you need to replace the one you have.
