whats hattnenen?

Hiya everybody ,im super stoked that this site is taking off!    I've owned my is since 01' , and have been looking for a site like this ever since .

not too much is  done to her at the moment besides the repaint, and the wheels. i recently regasketed the engine along with an oil pump change ( that i didnt need... stupid timing chain tensioner....)

but its awesome to join a community like this , heres to hoping that it only gets better!

as far as the body goes, yes , thats an old 86 ES front clip , its been on there for about two years now., i got some ellipsoids in the grille, , and contrary to popular demands , i retrofitted the old pop out windows, in place of the fixed ones, if anyones looking for a pair , or would like to trade your popouts for my fixed rear 1/4 glass, hit me up.....

LOL!

In the grand scheme of things, the only opinion that really matters is yours, and whether you're happy with the car or not.  I don't think it looks that bad, but it wouldn't be my first choice either.

As a street car, I'd probably go to a solid color, but that's because I usually prefer not to stand out in a crowd to much.  As a track rat or race car, however, I think it would be a good base for nice layout.

As long as you like it. that's what counts.
If we all had the same car then what's the point.
I saw a 2002 with two tone paint scheme and it looked great .
It was black and grey  but the paint went all the way to the top of the fender unlike yours which doesn't reach the top of the fender.
I don't know if the body lines would allow that but like I said to each his own.
Glad to see you've joined and a big WELCOME TO YOU :)

this is about the nicest and most receptive site ive seen like this.

it's nice to be in the company of a group of fanatics that like ( that funny lookin little car ( e-30 318is) ) as much as i do .

i knew from the first time i rode in it ( it belonged to a girl i went to school with and was also the car she learned how to drive stick in  ) from that first ride , i knew i had to have it.  a few years later , it came up for sale , and i got the friend hook-up... 500 bucks :D .

it had the typical woes of not being cared for , but all these years later , after  much effort ( replacing the dash with no reference is fun) , and 250K some odd miles , it still kicks ass, and i wouldnt trade it for anything!
........

well , maybe an M-3 Evo :p

I am in Duluth waaaaaay up North from you. There's a bunch of e30 guys up here. I know some of them, others I simply get to nod or flash my lights at them. It's very diverse up here as some of the guys I see at Road ATL, other I see at auto-x and some of them just in traffic or at random places.

The guy you spoke to, was his name Steven? I know someone down in Savannah with a car that meets that exact description!! He has an e36 motor though.

To post a picture, size it appropriately and either attach it to your post or for signatures add them in cia the "User CP" link and use the [ img ] link to pic [ \img ] tags. I dunno if we have an FAQ for that but it's not too hard once you get it figured out.
