Great success!
« on: May 21, 2008, 12:40:05 PM »
I got my fuel pump last night and after putting it in it feels like I tripled my hp!! The car has never run so perfect since 1991!! Between the new injectors and new pump. I bought the car 8 months or so ago and it faded fast but after all this work I have a "brand new" bmw! The suspension is next to be new than nothing will say 250k besides the clock. I may take my stock m42 for a dyno run this week I'll keep you guys updated!

What was wrong with it?  Mine makes an irritating buzzing sound.

My pump wasnt making any noise it was just clogged up and was only giving my engine 13 psi of fuel. It ran like a slug and I couldnt give it much more than 15 percent throttle.

Awesome man, I'm glad you got your issue worked out. I've yet to even check my fuel pressure, my girlfriend has been driving me everywhere lately so I haven't found the motivation to troubleshoot my issue, haha.

Haha, I'll get into it tomorrow (while she is working, and I'm not, hahaha). But seriously, I hope your problem isn't mine, maybe I'll consider the walbro that everyone tried to convince you to buy. Good stuff.
