No electronic changes.

really? so you just put them in and the car ran with no issues?

do you think 24# injectors would need some tuning?

i have four mustang injectors i bought a LONG time ago and never got around to installing them because i gave up on my m42 build.

There was a guy in the injector thread that was already using 24# injectors so I guess it works. I tried to keep the injector size proportional (by my estimate anyway) to the intake flow changer I made. With the 22# injectors the car drives exactly the same 90% of the time. The throttle is more responsive to quick bursts and it pulls harder at WOT above 4000rpm. In closed loop it should return the same fuel economy as before. I'm using the skinny 4 hole EV6 injectors.

I heard a rumor that theres 12 hole version of the EV6 injector with an even better spray patter. I'll be looking for those.

I just replaced my throttle cable today and had a friend verify throttle plate position while I put the pedal to the floor.  At WOT, the plates were at 90 degrees. No hyper-extension beyond horizontal.

The 2 plates are activated in sequence to ensure a bit more lower end for part-throttle applications.  If we were to replace the 2-plate throttle body with a single plate that equaled the total area of the two plates combined, you'd have a pretty crappy low end/off-idle response.  It's actually a pretty clever set-up.

The throttle lever has 2 places where you can fit a throttle cable.  One is for the gas pedal, and the other is for the cruise control cable.  Most of our cars don't have cruise control.  The throttle cable goes through the holes closer to the firewall.

You must remove the throttle body from the intake manifold, when it's bolted to the manifold it's hard to see the actual position of the plates.

btw: great thread.
