camshaft end plugs--part number?
« on: May 13, 2008, 08:28:53 PM »
Today I received my modified intake cam, but both end plugs were missing.
A small plug (almost like a mini freeze plug) goes into each end of the hollow camshaft.

Anybody know the BMW part number or how to source these plugs?  The ETK didn't help.

my cams didn't have any plugs in them, on any of the heads I've seen. Wonder what the idea is...

neither did mine. its probably just to keep oil and grime from building up in them.

Ok, I guess I was mistaken.  Thanks for the follow-up.

I was used to seeing end plugs on S14 cams. Part #3:
