Im pretty certain that you have to have the rod out of the block in order to change the rod bolts, because the new rod bolt has to be pressed into the rod.
Its a good modification in terms of rotational mass and as an added safety precaution.
ARP are the only ones that i would recommend, purely because they are the only ones ive had experience with, but i think allot of companys sell them these days.
For the brake pads, EBC Greenstuff pads are good for quick heat up, low wear and extremely low brake dust.
For the motormounts, if they are in good condition then i would leave them alone, especially if the car is a daily driver. There are upgrades available but most of them are aimed towards the track car end of the spectrum.
