Any good heatshield templates out there?
I'm using a K&N filter I have laying around and a MAF adaptor from ebay. Might as well use this filter for something.

So any good heat shield ideas? Should I plan to close the top off?
I assume removing the rear headlight panel may help a tiny bit.

Running the stock box. Like you have an adapter (had the damn thing for months) and thinking the same thing.

OK, so here's what I'll be doing:
Room is limited due to ABS module. I'll use the adaptor plate on the front of the airbox to make a larger opening, or in the headlight area to make a good connector which is larger than stock. I plan to work up a new headlight cover which will actually be a scoop feeding into a hose to the box.

If I don't need the adaptor I may be able to mount the round filter I have inside that huge airbox.

OK, I'll work on that in a few weeks.

Thats a really impressive setup. A lot more work than I would be willing to put into it, but definitely cool. I'm not sure that setup would work very well on US cars because most of that airbox would be filled up with the ABS module. Your car also grew 2 more Cyls with CAI. Nice :D

Yes it is amazing what a good CAI will do for an engine....hahhaha
I still have the m42 sitting in the workshop - I am deciding what to do with it
(even though I have told the wife that I am trying to sell it :)  )
2002 track car would be the ultimate but atm all the spare cash is going in to the e30
