318ti electric fan retrofit?
« on: April 18, 2008, 05:08:48 PM »
I've done a search, but nothing comes up... I noticed the 318ti (M44 only) uses an electric radiator fan in place of the one driven off the serpentine belt.  Is there any info on retrofitting this to our M42 motors?

I suspect it would fit but if you don't find an E36 fan you can also use a Volvo 850/940/960 2 speed fan.

Thanks for the link.  I've seen that thread, but was looking for something with an OEM fit and finish if possible.
