OE Lug bolt specs

Hello,

I know that the OE lug bolt is a M12x1.5, but I cannot find the length.  Does anyone know if the length differs, and if there is any fundamental difference between the bolts used on alloy wheels vs. steel wheels?

Im finding all sorts of conflicting info on the internet, telling me anywhere from 25-28mm in shank length.

Anyone know for sure?
