Bottom part: Tug firmly at the corners

Top part: There are 2 10mm or so nuts at the extreme left and extreme right lower corners. There thread through some metal "arms" which attach the seat to the body of the car.

Once you get the bottom part out, you'll see the 2 nutts.

i got it thanks, and i got the ski pass out, and realigned the sub, and put the seat back in... it helped some... but not a major change...

The seat back is what muffles the sound a whole lot due to obvious reasons :p Try taking your rear speakers out, see if that's noticably different? That could mean you making a port to help get bass in.
True audiophiles do all sortsa calculations and can do some nifty shit with setups for cars like ours. If you're on a budget, ehhh just deal with this for now :D

yea true that.... haha... i wanna port my rear deck just to help it come through.. i tried taking out the rear speakers... didn't help any... mostly due to the fact that i have my nicer speakers in the rear... i wanna do a port behind each speaker to let more bass in.... problem is.. will it work?
