i just found this video on youtube about the (i had never heard of before) 320si

i'll try to find more information cause a 4 cylinder e90 seems like a cool thing!

yeah I seen this in another forum, I can't remember which one but this 4 banger is beautiful!!! lol to bad the M42 couldn't come with that kind of power or atleast something close to the S42. Actually if you could find this engine that would be a nice swap but the electronics probably would be difficult.

I thought you guys in the states and canada got this aswell?

Its a homologation special for the wtcc championship.
Basically its the road going 320i 4 pot, but with a sports interior,mild engine tweek, nice wheels and uprated suspension. It also has a carbon fiber valve cover which is very nice.

Its good to see BMW acknowledging their sporty side

couldn't agree more

in canada 4 cylinders engine are long gone... sadly the smallest engine is the one in a 323i. no diesel no 320i!

if i had the money i wouldn't hesitate over the 320i!! i'm sure its going to be a collectible in no time

You can still get a 323i in Canada? Thats news. The 318i and 320i as well as diesel versions make up the vast majority of 3 series sold in europe and most of the world. The US and Canada are the exception to the rule. The 320si was sweet homologation special.

Well if you want more HP, you get a bigger engine. Street engines have to worry about more mundane tasks like wide torque curve, fuel economy and emissions. The real perfomance 4 cyl in the BMW lineup is the twin turbo 2.0 diesel. 4 cyl gassers are a dead market at this point.
