I don't know about you, but I think that almost 20 psi (1.5 BAR = 21.75 psi) is a lot of boost, especially on a motor that will be racing for at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours per session. I wasn't saying you could not get to 400 on stock cams, but that it would be easier and you would have a broader power band with aftermarket. We can adjust the cams, but that would move mainly move the band around... I like the low end power for pulling out of the corners, but need a broader curve and a more usable power band. If I could increase our powerband by 1,000 RPM on the top and keep the low end similar to where it is then we'd be happy.
For us, the competition is race built S14's and M50/52's (up to 2.9L) and they're free to make all the cam, valve, ECU and other internal component changes including dry sump. At 13PSI we're putting out competitive or better HP and torque with what we believe will be a lighter and better balanced platform.
