replacing steel fuel line

Need to replace the steel return fuel line. Do I need to drop the tank, anything else I should plan on? Tried the search. Thanks

There are two removable plates for access -  one over the fuel pump and one in the same position only on the driver's side. You should be able to put it through there. Parts are steel and parts are rubber.  If you can't do it that way then you may have to drop the tank.  If it's the metal line inside the rocker panel to the front, it's easy to get to and  you could use a piece of rubber hose to connect to the part over the tank. I couldn't get to the clamp on the pressure line between the filter and the metal line on top of the tank so I cut a hole in the floor for access, but that's just me being a hillbilly.
