The progress looks great!  I've used Zaino products before and have also experienced excellent results w/ their products - very simple and easy to use plus no residue is left on the body panels, even when it's humid outside...  :)

Just curious - how much was the urethane kit for replacing the chassis/suspension bushings?  Did the kit come with every piece needed to upgrade all of the factory rubber to urethane, or do you still need to purchase more pieces?

Well the kit was just for the trailing arm. They do have other pieces but its sold separate. http://www.powerflexusa.com if you want to check it out. Order from Carr industries as they has a tax rebate discount now. Not sure for how long. Not much but it was nice.

With urethane, everything should just slide in by hand. In my case it didn't so I had to pay a shop. Took it to a BMW shop as rather they do it than a local mechanic with a press. So paid one hour labor, $87 instead of $40. But it came out nice. If you do the rear end all together, it would be easier.

Will be doing the subframe before the end of the summer. I replaced with oem bushings last year and still have small clunk. I have the bushing removal tool that I bought, so its easy to remove and in case I need it for install. I will then start to rent the tool.

But yesterday I took a green light left turn and the car was solid. I still need to upgrade sway bars, but have new links, shocks and springs. Also now TA bushings. Also I can't hear a difference in the urethane.

Nice! Another upgrade I still need to do :)

I heard about the urethane bushes that they tend to settle a bit after a while, becomming hollow?

Haven't heard that. I have heard that if the wrong grease it uses, the urethane will tend to decompose.

Well while out of town, got my next part in. e30 m3 brake master cylinder. I had already ordered the 12mm to 10mm pipe about 6 months ago. I will also rebuild the front calipers, with new seals. Will also paint them black. I already rebuilt, and painted the rears about 8 months ago. Just was waiting for the brake cylinder to do the front. Will also finish the install of UUC stainless steel lines.

Hey everyone, have been laying low because of to much work but here is an update. Fixed some surface rust in my trunk. Still need to do 2 small patches by the top of the rear light under the trunk seal. Also need to have the shop that balance my tires fix one of my rims, my center cap does not lock. Going back tomorrow to see what they can do, if not looking for another 14" basketweave. My spare needs to replace a bent rim. Here is the link of the work in the trunk from the electrical sub-forum:

Finally installed my new 14" Spal aux fan as my used replacement seized. I kept the same wiring which led me to use the stock resistor so I still have the 2-speed options. My radiator temp switch is also new. It push so much air that my temp needle does not reach noon on the gauge. After a week, will remove the fan clutch to see if this is enough to cool engine. People have said it is, but just will test it out. Here are pics of the old and new and the new installed. In the pic of the new one mounted, zip ties still needed to be cut. A bracket can be fabricated to use the stock mounting points but felt it was easier and good enough with 4 zip ties. A 16" can fit, but will be larger than the condenser, so a bracket will be needed.

Yeah, its been sitting 3 years as I have been working on it. Paint is shot now, but after a wax like 5 years ago, this is how it looked:

Another update: Installed a newer set of shifter and e-brake boots. Re-doing my whole interior with Kevin's (The Aritsan on other forums) kit. Also went for the boots. Here they are installed. I need to detail the car and the pics are without flash so that it doesn't take away from the black. Ned more sunlight for the my pics.

Wayyy sweet M5 my friend. I've always loved those cars. How does it drive compared to our e30? I'm sure it packs a bit more punch.

Also I'm digging the new boots. My brother has an e46 M3 and he really wants to install that fabric in his interior. The E46 CSL M3's (only in Europe) interior has that suede-ish material on the steering wheel too. Better grip supposedly

Thanks, way more punch. And with the suspension, very tight, just heavier, but not by that much.

Still do not know what I will do with steering wheel, as I will eventually get rid of the airbag wheel for something smaller but tasteful. Will consider the fabric to match.
