well this weekend i devoted to re-doing my clutch in my garage with a couple of buddies and lots of beer, i purchased a clutch kit from turner which obviously will fit right?
Clutch Kit includes Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate, and T/O Bearing. Call for applications not listed above. SACHS is the OEM supplier for BMW. This kit fits all 1990-1999 4 cylinder BMW's (which all have the M42 or M44 engine). This kit can be used on all 318i, 318is, 318ic, and 318ti produced between 1990 and 1999 as well as Z3 1.9 liter.

nope!?!??!... turns out after all this hassle and much dilema i have an OEM single mass flywheel!?!? somehow in my specific 1991 318is W/O AC it came from BMW with a single mass, good right? well sorta but also very frustraiting, you see UPS jipped me 75 bucks of border fee's when i got the clutch (i live in canada eh) and now i have to order OEM becuase turner does not even recognize that there is this option for my car

That is the flywheel I have. You should take this opportunity to have some weight removed from your flywheel. I have mine down to 17.6 lbs. You can probably take a little more. You will like the difference.
That clutch should be available on ebay. Just search for non-ac.

i am getting the flywheel machined... but what else can i do?

Machined and balanced? Or resurfaced? All you can do is remove weight and put the correct clutch on it.

Are you shure you dont have the dual mass flywheel for cars wo ac?

If it's a dual mass flywheel you can hold the starter ring gear with a pry bar against one of the trans locating pins. Then put a socket and breaker bar on a flywheel bolt. If it's a solid single mass flywheel there will be no flex. If it's dual mass, one part of the flywheel will rotate a little while the other remains stationary.

Seriously though, does anyone know where I can get my hands on a single mass flywheel W. pressure plate and stuff for cheap?

Try your local Pick N Pull or the equivalent. I just picked up a tranny, starter, flywheel and a upper oil pan for $107. I think the flywheel cost me $13.
