Big bore throttle body???
« on: March 27, 2008, 09:27:30 AM »
Didn't someone make one?
Or, how easy is it to diy?
I would love to use itb's but rally regs don't allow me to and my 1960cc engine could do with breathing a little easier!
Thanks, Martin.

Well I think I would get away with a different tb from another model bmw if it wasn't too obvious!
I agree that I wouldn't really notice the difference if I was just swapping the tb. But I am fitting an aftermarket ecu and want to do everything I am going to do first to avoid more expensive mapping sesions!
What tb's from other models fit?
Thanks, Martin.

The stock TB is good for over 200 horses. Check out metrickmechanic.com and take a look at their resonance-tuned intake manifold and other performance parts. Parts like that are much more worth the money.
