I was just wondering if there are any aftermarket subframe reinforcements available for the E30's - those of which can be used to stregthen the frame by means of welding or bolting them to the underside of the chassis? They would stiffen the chassis from front to rear. I know there are strut tower bars available and some places make the rear shock tower bars, but I don't recall seeing any frame connectors...

If subframe connectors do exist, please provide a link.

Subframe connectors? I can tell you're a domestic guy

I don't think we have such things. There is the X-brace mod from the E36 which ties the front subframe into the undercarriage, but on some lowered cars it causes clearance issues.

If you don't find the answer here, check the other E30 sites as it's a generic question vs an M42 drive line issue.
