Trans Bell Housing Leak, and New Pads.
« on: March 15, 2008, 06:26:57 AM »
My lower pan and transmision are leaking oil, and i've replaced the lower pan gasket (lazy mechanics that worked on her (E30)before, not me). i'm keeping an eye on how much it's leaking and it's not to the point where i'm buying a bottle of oil a week (yet), but they're still leaking. On my trani, does this mean my clutch is about to go out, how does the oil get to the housing, and what kind of problems am i going to need to fix?

and if anyone has any help for me that could help me replace my brakes, i'd be much abliged.

Could possibly be a rear crankshaft seal.
