Just wanted to be first to post here...   :D

Still working on my interior, it's currently gutted, awaiting time and decent weather for the new dash and carpet.

Yes, I am, I'm using FatMat. I'll get some pictures up one of these days, if the weather ever cooperates.

And at this point, it is definitely going to be a puzzle, it's been apart for months...  :(

You surely do have just a little work cut out for yourself!   :D

How difficult or easy is it to remove the dash and did you remove yours to replace a cracked dash, or other?

I'm sure the Interior forum will take off soon!  :D

Dash isn't really all that hard once you dive into it - hardest part was probably the heater controls.

Mine was cracked, and I wanted to redo the alarm wiring I did several years ago, so that it ran along with the stock harnesses as much as possible. I do have to say, it is much easier to install an alarm when there is no dash in, but some of the looms are guesswork as to whether it will actually fit back together as intended!  :)

Getting there, slowly but surely -

New headliner is in, dash is at least in place if not fully installed, new carpet is in, rear seat is back in...

Carpet from BMA, it is new OEM carpet, probably more than anyone should pay even though it was a good price. Headliner came from Rob Scheiring, on R3V, in a group buy - IIRC, it was around $300 for the headliner and rear deck cover, which I didn't end up using since I just bought a new rear deck. Anyone want to buy an Alcantara rear deck cover?

Days... :D  

It could be done in a solid, long day. I had it apart much longer, I was doing stuff, but it could be done. You'll want help, also, particularly when you are positioning the headliner for gluing. I used a crapload of binder clips to clamp it down for the glue.



It's also a PITA getting the rear side windows back in place, and I won't even go into the problems I was having with the lockstrip for the windshield.

Your biggest problem would probably be the sunroof - it is not fun, and there are a lot of little bitty screws.
