This way people do not have to ask, or check inside to find you are in another country when looking for something.

Even if you are in the states, it helps to know if you are buying a New York car when you live in California. Shipping an engine that far isn't always practical either.

On another forum I belong to they make you fill out the following with you're  for sale thread. It seems to work very well and probably should be implemented here, at least partially.Then you don't have the same questions on every thread.

I know I wouldn't want to freely post my email, post code and phone number on a public forum let alone one which has been plagued by spammers in the past.

LOL.  Your choice, but I'd still suggest an abbreviated location in the post title for large items.  I'm a bit jealous of your location...the UK's manageable size is so much more convenient for local pickup of bulky items.  It's not like I can just hop in a car to impulsively pick up a good deal on the west coast.
