I finally put on my kyb's and vogtland springs yesterday and i'm real happy with how it turned out. I think the springs lowered it just the right amount and the ride is still comfortable. I haven't had the chance to really get on it in any corners yet. I'll post some pics pretty soon to see what people think.

What KYBs did you fit?
I'm looking at them as a "cheap" interim solution for my shot suspension.

I'm not sure what the part numbers are but i bought them from an ebay seller and it said they fit the 318is. I could check the box when i go home for the weekend to see if it says on there.

I had kyb gr2 on my previous e30 a 325is with bavauto springs(cheap lowering alternative) and it was all fine rode on that setup for about a year till I sold the car. Wasn't bad at all.

I will go with kyb agx this time around unless I can find a steal on a full set of bilstein sports.

I had a set of KYB's that I put on the car at about 150,000 miles. I ran them until it had 200,000 on it. They held up OK with stock springs. I replaced them with Bilstein TC's when I put lowering springs on. Mainly because the labor was the same as a result of putting on the springs. It seemed pointless to not do it at the same time.

Do you know what the spring rates are? How do you like the ride? Have they made a big improvement for your cars handling?

I'm not sure what the spring rates are. The ride is definitely a little bumpier but it still isn't bad. the handling is great, way less body roll. i've never had bilsteins and h&r's so i cant compare it to that but compared to stock i'm really happy. I did scrape for the first time pulling out of a driveway. i made it out the same one a couple days ago but this time i had two friends in the car. i pulled over and nothing was leaking so i'm thinking it was the exhaust and not something more important. it sounded like it was more in the middle/rear anyways.

so which springs are these?
im assuming the 40/40 kit?

also where did you get them from
