well, the chain tensioner is from a s14 engine..!and located 100km away..but i will do what i can..!as usually my friends :)

Wow, that car is super impressive!!! Thanks so much for the pics, really enjoyed them. I would be interested to know the displacement, redline, and power output of that engine!

Wow those are impressive numbers. For other yanks, that's 278HP and 180ft-lb.

....out of an inline 4, natural aspirated 2liter engine :D

Swiss, i think we all owe you a drink for all the work youve done.
Honestly, you have posted more photos of the s42 in this one thread than i have found on the internet in the past year!

Pictures of the engine parts would be amazing, and really help the entire community with the development of the m42/44.

Just a quick observation,
The cam cover doesnt seem to have any breather tube. This would suggest that the dry sump pump creates a vacuum in the crank case, which allows you to run without a breather.

Swiss- is that blue tank, in the top left corner of the engine bay, the dry sump oil tank? it seems awfully small?....unless it is somewhere else in the car that i cant see lol

i know!!!since i know that a s42 engine exists i found about 5 pics in the internet and now i have a looooooooooot more :-) thanks for the beer... where do you live... :-)

its the expand tank of the radiator...
