So somebody stole my front is lip off my car and i'm thinking about buying one from a junkyard. My car is silver and the lip would be black. Do you guys think i could get away with a black lip on a silver car? or should i wait til i have the money to buy one and paint it?

Gundy, is it E30 or E36? As far as I know, E30 318is have a front spoiler as standard and it should be painted the same color as the car.

Stock, it was painted but you don't have to have it silver, if I ever get one it will probably be painted black. I think it looks pretty good!

Thanks for the input! I really liked the way the silver lip looked but maybe a black lip would go well with the smoked tails and turn signals anyways.

IMOH, painting it black will not enhace the front of the car. OTOH, the item comes in gray plastic in general, so you will have to paint it anyway

I think lip spoilers come in black and the original for the 318is comes in gray plastic ready to be painted, as in the pictures below.
