looked in to a turbo and m44 swap but i think its going to be the DASC.
is there a link to a full Comprehensive thread on fitting the charger...? i read so many threads and so many different opinions and the majority are valid up to a point and the thread ends up wondering of track, and now i need help decide.
if im correct i can fit the charger to the m42 but the best options for a daily driver are:
change the pullies to later m44... i don't need the A/C pullie.
keep the stock MAF
change the FPR.... to witch FPR i'm unsure. a FPR is supplied with the DASC but is it suitable for m44...
is there fitment issues with the bonnet/hud closing.
But after these is it pretty much plug and play…..!
I have the option to fit a m44 but am a bit nervous as I’ve never done a swap and think the m42 lump can manage every bit as good.
I’m not looking to boost the shit out of it just run the charger straight
from DA for my 15min daily drive.
I’m going to order the charger as soon as I clear up as much of this, and any thing else I might be missing . The fit will be done by me on a shoe string budget and will be fitted asap…. Another baby on the way.
