right guys hello,

firstlly i am in the uk - england

and own a h reg 318is e30 which is running 15" bbs wheels like many i prosume

the trouble i am having is the car is a track car i dont want to upgrade the wheels to bigger wheels as i run toyo r888 and there   relitivlly cheap for these wheels

but i want bigger brakes is there a conversion i can do useing other parts

i know they are kits i can buy but they tend to be prices and whats the biggest disc i could run

I've been looking into this today. I've got the same setup as you - 15" BBS wheels which are fine and with cheap tyres.

The options I've found out about so far include Corrado G60 discs, or TT Discs and the calipers from the E34 M5 or E34 535(?). There's info about this on the E30zone.net website.
Another option is an off the shelf kit made by someone called WHS or something like that. I need to find out more.

Massive Brakes has a kit, and there is someone on r3vlimited who has a kit to adapt rx7 turbo calipers to fit. Someone on this forum has some very nice Wilwood circle-track brakes that look amazing as well.

ther is one relatively cheap diy way...

buy second hand rear axle from a e36 318ti or 323ti compact --> bolt on

and for the front brakes you have to buy the parts on the picture, and also front suspension of a e36



the brake discs you can buy then:

286x22mm: E36 325i-328i, good start
300x22mm: E46 328i, better
325x25mm: E46330d (only with 17" wheels and they brake very well, i have those on my e36)

Also, with the e36 parts M3 brakes will fit.

fyi i'm still working on the rx7 calliper bracket. but we've been having some troubles with the move, the fire sprinklers went off the other day and wrecked all the drywall, and other such events have been happening, delays with finishing work. but when thats all done i'll finish up those brackets.
