is the X6 a car or a van or a 4x4 or a race car or a boat or a plane or a spacecraft! A SPACECRAFT hmmm yeah! :p

just received my front crossmember.... i hope it fits and i hope my engine mounts are still good... i hope the engine is still good too. we'll see this weekend if i'm still allowed to be part of an M42club any longer. i guess you guys might ban me if i say i drive an M20 powered e28 right?

in the mean time, i've been working hard to launch my new music label. its very motivating.

here are a few pictures from last year

and a few more recent ones

this car is like a tank... i am not even sure how it still runs. everything on it looks like it hasen't been maintained or replaced since 1986... i have the owners manual and it seems the original owner cared about his car for about 2 years then abandonned.
bought it for 500$ and a cracked shock tower (didnt knew that then) we've put 60$ worth of repair (mainly welding it back) and it runs... its been a year and much much cheaper than a well maintained e30. although the ABS are coming on whenever they want. brake lights are nuts. no temperature gauge (i go with the smell and smoke to know when its time to cool down) alignment is messed up. front bumper is cracked and seems like there has been a civil war inside the car... or a previous owner got hungry. bought it from a strange man really!

Nice!  That is quite the ultimate collection of ultimate driving machines you have.  All you need is an e24 and you have my 3 favorite bmw chassis.  What type of kms per liter do you get?  I have heard the 6 cylinder etas are on par with m42s for fuel consumption???

thanks!
i'm not sure about fuel consomption. i've never calculated. plus its hard to know if the fuel is burnt by the engine or if its spoiled on the ground due to a leaking fuel tank... for both cars !!
but the m42 is definitly happier to drink lots of gas and please itself in high revs than the eta. its all about how you drive really
sorry, i can't give you more details, all i know is that i put 25$ worth of gas per week!
i'll calculated how many kms that gives me and i'll get back to you on this

oh and as for the collection this one has to be counted in, although its a parts car..
i agree with you, i really want an e24 and a 2002tii and the collection would be complete. and maybe a few more e30s. a 325is and an M3 just for fun

Nice DD romkasponka! how do you compare both cars? i've driven the e36 a few times but it was a trashed one with bad suspenssion. it made me believe the e30 is more like a fun kart-like ride.

other than that: the tree man

E36 has longer wheel base so it is not so responsive like E30. But on high speed turns E36 is more stable.

here, i am writing a paper on artificial lighting in cities
thought i'd share a few pictures i took of montreal (Ste-Catherine street (our very own whores district))

and by the way. didnt had time to repair the e30's crossmember yet. i guess it will have to wait until next spring before i have the funds and time to rebuild the car... and the e28 died. fuel pump problems i believe. its just not worth it to replace for now

Oh man. Where have I been?!?

hoevesruperd If you need any parts now would be the prime time to make a list. I'm one bolt away from pulling my old motor and trans out of my spare e30 and I'll be taking other parts off at this time as well.

Its getting pretty chilly down here in Missouri. Finally got myself a good local job at T-Mobile as a customer service rep so I'll be traveling no more! Now I get to work on my car! YIPEE!

Oh jeez do I have a lot of parts to install too...its kind of a headache hah. I feel overwhelmed when I look at the pile of boxes that just keep stacking up in the living room. My new tires for my Keskin Kt1's should be coming in from tirerack soon too. I just ordered some cheap sumitomo all seasons for now...I'll upgrade come summer.

Took my old front bumper and valence off the other day and almost all the screws were rusty as hell even though the car has very little  so I'm gonna buy a bunch of new bolts and screws for my new front bumper and valence.

I'll go over to my friends house where my parts are now and lay everything out to take pictures and post up :)

Oh and hoeves you make me so jealous I don't have a brilliantrot!

oh you're saving the day, and maybe the e30 at the same time! i need quite a few parts. i will make a list and post it very soon. as for now, i really need the wiper linkage, and fan blower. (my fan is dead, not sure if its the blower or controls really)

and yeah brilliantrot is a nice color for e30s but it becomes pretty nasty when the clear starts fading. i can't wait to start working on my car again. might have to wait until snow melts (it started snowing today and i'm already wishing for it to melt!)

congradulations on your new job! hope it helps you keep the e30 dreams alive. i also got a new job. working at the record store which is cool since i get to discover so many new bands, but its badly paid. the 318is will suffer from it
