on my way to school i pass by a porsche dealer. so i see mostly cayennes and boxters/cayman but sometimes GT3s and Turbos or Targas.

on the way back from school, i see a prestige dealer with masseratis, old porsches, limited edition ferraris, cobras and other very expensive cars.. i've seen some E30 m3s too but today there was a very simple e28!! just like the one i had.. felt good to see my old car next to some ferraris!!

edit: this posts makes me a senior member woohoo!

I forgot you guys purchase it by the liter. What is it 4L to 1G?? I know 5L of heinekin is 1.33 gallons haha.

I work. I work my ass off sadly. I'm going to college in January of 09 but for now I work for my dad as a contractor. I'm a commercial lighting electrician. I specialize in HID fixtures, VHO fixtures, etc. Me and my older brother have an apartment together.

Why do you ask?

Its fun being out here in california but being here means I have no time to work on my e30 or buy another one and work on it :(

By the way anyone want a perfectly running M42 with tranny?? 130k miles on both. Either I sell it or put on a stand to start building a race motor. I also have some nice tan interior. Uncracked dash too lol.

the ocean is still so cold??! come on man! you're in california! nothings too cold in california!

i have sad news
i'll be going to my parents farm next week and try to start my 318is after a months its been sitting there.
if it doesn't want to move after a COP conversion and an engine bay checkup and clean-up she might go into coma for a while.

i'm going to store it until i have the cash to restore the whole thing

bmw is way too expensive for me. i am almost considering the saab or volvo route
keeping the bmw as a long term project

i need to find a better job first
there is just so much more to life than repairing cars and it seems like my car needs way more attention/money than i can give. where is reliability???

we'll see if it starts up

here diesel is cheaper than gas! thats strange
your friend has a nice classic ride

by the way there will never be a day without bmw..
there might be days (many days) with a parked bmw though!!
i'm considering buying my father's volvo (V70 1997 - 220000km - well talken care of) as a DD and keep the e30 as a long long term project
long enough that when i'll finish it, it'll seems just as old and vintage as 2002tii do today

its nice to see that more people are joining in this thread.
welcome in En318isPDX

There is nothing wrong with a volvo, I started in turbo volvos but now I prefer NA BMW's.

However, I still fondlt remember my 244 with WAAAYY to much boost.

diesel is more expensive than gas here.
