haha well I didn't buy it, I was hoping to get a scanned version from someone but anyway. They said that it is a great car and that the m42 is a very underrated engine. They said its prob the best 4banger BMW has ever made.

Some Highlights
  • They said to change your plug wires asap.  The stock ones, even though they may look fine, they wear out from age.  They replaced their's and got about 6 HP IIRC.
  • K&N cone filter lost 5hp w/out a heat sheid and was about the same w/ a hear sheild.  They said that the cone filter sounded great & un-cluttered the engine.  But they also said they prob could have spent their $ on other things.  So basically they are just for fun, which is why I have one :D

I'd be all over the plug wires...If they weren't like $100 for a set.

Well, although it is a few (4 pages IIRC) long, it isn't THAT informative. Other than the fact that they gained ponies by putting in new Magnecore wires. And that they lost power with the addition of the BMP intake, same HP after a cardboard heatshield(seriously, it was made out of card board). They also installed a Conforti chip and a supersprint exhaust. After all the upgrades, they were putting down 131rwhp, and were doing 0-60 in 8.45 seconds, in hot, humid, Florida weather. Also, they attributed the slow 0-60 time to having to shift into 3rd before 60 (that's why I have a 3.91 :D), in addition to the hot weather.

Oh yeah, and as mentioned above, they did say that the June issue will be about adapting a Z3 S/C to the car.
