Autocross garb pics below

Hi I just picked up my first BMW...a 91 318i in Diamond Black (Schwartz?) Metallic. I purchased this from a friend on VW Vortex (we are both Scirocco heads). Anyway it is a two owner car with 118K. The original owner fastidiously maintained this car. I have the receipts for all BMW dealer service until late 2006 when she sold the car to my friend.

Plans are to upgrade suspension (Bilstein or Koni + H&R Springs) and that's about it. It has the original clutch which isn't too bad but is a bit grabby so that will eventually need attention. Everything else seems to work pretty well.

Here are a few pics...sorry they are so dark. Oh...I paid $4k for it.

New pics including interior

Sorry...fixed that one.

Thanks all. The condition of this car is amazing. What's even more crazy is that it was owned and operated in Poughkeepsie, NY for its entire life. Imagine me coming from down South to get a car from up North!

I'll post some more pics this weekend. Everything is very nice. Engine still has the factory coating (cosmoline??) on the intake and cam cover.:)

Finished up the suspension overhaul last weekend. Here's what went in:
Bilstein Sport
H&R Sport
M3 CABs
New Passenger Control Arm (Fubar'd the ball joint removing the strut grrr)
New M42 Engine Mounts
New Swaybar Links

What it looked like before:

What is looks like now:

Old OEM suspension bits looked okay, but shocks/struts were so blown that they didn't rebound when you pushed them in my hand :D

Right is great...ready for the autocross course!

Sorry for the dark pics of a black car...

Well I bought a set of bottlecaps for $40, sprayed them and got some new rubber for cone carving :D

Also spend a few hours polishing the hood and trunk (Diamond Schwartz plus hot NC summer sun don't mix).

Here she is ready for some fun:

There is a two day autocross at the Michelin tire testing facility in South Carolina next weekend. I am ready now!
