Mr Jezza's 318i M42 (Updated!)
« on: April 26, 2006, 08:51:25 PM »
Hey everyone,

First can I just say how impressed I am with this forum and congratulate you on how far you have come in under 2 months!  Now onto my car :P

E30 318i
Built 10/89
Alpineweiss II

Blew up the original M40...
Now running an M42... not totally sure of its origins atm (see http://www.m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=446)

Performance:
2" catback exhaust
M42 conversion
Pro Formance M42 ECU Chip - 4 May 2006

Appearance:
Full MTech Bodykit
16" Advanti Racing Wheels
Firestone Firehawk SZ50 Tyres

These photos are from before I had the engine swapped but cosmetically its hasn't changed (in fact its worse now because I got hit by hail real bad about 6 months ago)

P.S. these photos are straight off the camera; those are real lens flares lol

I'd like to go turbo (eventually) and its great to see someone in Australia has already done it! *bows to E30M42Tech*

Keep up the good work everyone and thanks for having me :)
Jezza

good to have you here mate!

M-Tech 4 Door, nice.

Id love to go Turbo, and am always considering it, but stupid Adelaide laws mean it is highly illegal. don't need anymore reasons to get defected.

Wow, I originally wanted a 4 door, and cars like yours make me regret it.

Update time:

I painted my spark plug cover today - expected gains: 15-20hp per stripe. ;)

Btw, just for the record I run an M42 from a Euro 318iS (not the standard M42 in that comes in a US 318i).

Your right...this is the later body (88+) It had an M40 because he's in Australia, not to be confused with the M10.
