Window tinting. How do I?
« on: November 18, 2007, 01:52:43 PM »
Does anyone on here do their own tinting? I'm looking to do the rear 3 windows on my diamondshwartz and since there are no laws in my province as to how deep I can go I'm thinking of going with a 15% tint on them. But when I do get around to doing it I'd much rather do it myself then pay someone else to do it so I'm wondering if anyone on here does it themselves, and how hard it is to get it to look good?

Or since I have no experience with it am I better of to pay someone to do it properly?

I would probably just get someone to do it unless its really expensive. I've never tinted windows but from the looks of it it would probably be pretty hard by yourself.

It's possible, but isn't worth the time or effort, really, unless you just like practicing and can afford to go through lots of film. Pay a pro to do it, it's worth it.

back in the day i did my own, but nowadays, with the low cost and nice warranties and heatshrunk tint, etc, just pay someone to do it for you and they'll do it right.

Alright thanks guys. I don't really have the patience for trial and error so when I get around to this I'm just going to pay someone else to do it for me.
