Hi Gang,
My name is Kings. I'm from Australia, Sydney.
I just wanted to tell you guys about my favourite girl. I've had her for 5 years.
220,000km
K&N rampod air filter, racing dynamics racing cams, delco engine management system, intercooler, WRX garrett turbo, 2 and 3/4 inch exhaust, front camber kit (neg 3), 4 piston wilwood brakes, short shifter, e36 cooling fan, redline lifted to 7800rpm, 5% tint. turbo water and oil cooled, transmission oil cooler, 16inch racing dynamic wheels.

Standard compression, no engine rebuild just yet as she doesn't blow smoke.

If anyone wants to know anymore let me know.

I forgot to say that the suspension is H&R springs mated with Eibach sport shocks and strut braces front and rear. And the motor now has a single mass fly wheel.
It used to be supercharged but the rotrex supercharger blew up after 4 months. The turbo has been in there for 4 months and hasn't missed a beat. Better fuel economy as well.

ohhhh-k.... you've got 24 hours to post some more details of this setup ...or else I'm going to photoshop tres-fey rainbow-colored parrots all over your car.

we need more info on both the rotex setup and your new snail... you can't just casually throw that in there and not expect that it won't drive us nuts... enquiring minds wanna know!!

I had a rotrex supercharger put in begining of last year. It cost me heaps, I had to get a new engine management system, I pissed off the AFM, kept the rest of the engine as standard. I completed about 6 race days a few top speed runs and then things started going a bit sad. What I didn't know was that the rotrex supercharger doesn't like rpm above 6000rpm. So the internals gave up one day whilst giving a Monaro or Pontiac GT a run for it money. It caused the engine to stall and locked the rear wheels. How embarrasing. I was running about 10PSI which is what most M42's can handle without stressing and decompressing the motor.
So it took me another 6 months to save up for the turbo conversion. I was hoping to get better fuel economy and a more reliable car. Same boost and no lag. Its even delivered the same way through the RPM range. Its just when you don't have your right foot jammed down it doesn't burn the fuel. Where as the supercharger did. For those of you that don't know the supercharger produces power directly related to the amount of RPM. The turbo is related to the amount of exhaust gas coming out of the motor and throttle position.
With the turbo I have boost from idle, I have full boost at 2000RPM. Its a really happy car. I can drive it all day under 3000RPM and it like a 325is. I can pound it and leave everything but exotic cars for dead. I want to put my 318is badges back there just to upset the 325i's out there.
Oh and my registration plates say E30M42.

I don't know what else to tell you guys. So ask away???

I think your talking about the pullies at the front of the motor. For the turbo all the pullies are still the same. I've just had the fan removed from the front. I had an E36 electric fan put in with the fan shroud from the same vehicle.
If your talking about the single mass fly wheel. I got that from a 325i, i think? I was done when I had my clutch changed. It made the idle a little less smooth, but you wouldn't know unless you looked for it. Plus the cams make the idle ruff. Because the fly wheel got changed, the mass of the fly wheel reduced by 2.4kg's. So the car became a little harder to get off the lights. But the upside is it gets through the RPM's alot quicker.

No, the harmonic balancer/dampner on the front of the crank (the pulleys are mounted to or in front of this, it is basically a big chunk of metal). They tend to expode at 7200 rpm.

Wow, 7800 would be fun w/ an m42. I'm anxious about the harmonic balancer also. It's right behind the crank pulley as sheepdog already noted. Just a big chunk of metal same size as the pulley usually.
