should i get new rotors, screws, and new sensors? or would i be fine with just getting some decent pads like some axxis ultimates?

Are your rotors worn to the point that they need replacement?

I would get some ultimates and some superblue brakefluid and flush the system.

Last time I did my brakes I was lazy and cheap and I only changed my pads. Now my rotors are finished (all groved and a lot thinner) and they're noisy as hell...still brakes but the pedal isn't as high as I'd like and the noise can get annoying.

Don't be cheap like me, change pads and rotors, they're not that expensive on E30s. Remember to clean and grease the guide pins, clean the pads carrier and inspect the caliper boots for tears. Also clean the hub and put some anti-seize before puting the new rotors. Inspect the hand brake linings and adjust them if necessary.

Like KenCopperwheat said, a flush would not be a bad idea since I suspect your liquid is quite old. Bleed the brakes after.

Btw, make sure you pump the pedal a couple times before your test drive. I think that's all...

Sensors are not required.

Clip the actual sensor off the pigtail, twist it together and tape it, then zip tie it out of the way.

new screws?

search around...I'm sure you can figure out where to buy rotors.

someone told me that when you replace the rotors, your also supposed to buy new screws that hold the rotors on the hub, is this correct?

When I bought my new brembo's, new screws were included with the rotors.

If they're not stripped then you don't need to replace them. You don't need to torque them like crazy either, they're just there so that the rotor doesn't turn on the hub which will make installing the lug nuts harder.
