Hi all,

I figured it was about time to introduce myself. Last month I picked up a 1991 318ic in alpinweiss II. The forum was pointed out by the person I bought the car from (scottiesharpe) as a great resource, and he was right about that. It's my first e30 and don't need to tell any of you what a perfect package this chassis/motor combination is! I've already noticed some familiar names here from the 2002faq, and have heard quite a few of them praise this model over there.

Enjoy your E30, it definitely shares the 2002 spirit of driving (unlike our newer E36/E46 brethren).

yea i went from a '95 325is to a '91 318is and i honestly feel like i've upgraded. yes the e30 lacks some of the luxuries and amneties, but it makes up so much in the overall driving experience, and sheer excileration. My car, although chipped with a MarkD, is still not as fast as my 325is i used to have, but it damn FEELS faseter, everytime i wind that sucker up to 7k rpm my hairs stand on end.

Plus with some suspension mods the car is a solid, compact, perfect package.
