Just picked this up. It's Lazer Blue like my coupe. Has AC (which isn't a big deal in the US but is pretty rare here) and has a tidy body. The clutch is totally gone and the M40 in it overheats - but who cares?

Already have a 1.9L M44 with 318iS gearbox and prop ready to drop in - brand new E36 clutch too.

Personally over here in the US of A I would take a touring E30 anyday over an E30 with AC HAHA jk. Nice cars man

I've had trouble tracking those down dude - will get to it this weekend whilst I dog out my back-ups for a clean-out anyway.

Hey much appreciated... if you can't find them no stress but if you do come across them it would be great to see some larger shots...

Thanks, Pete

dang, I want a touring. A friend who autoX's 325's pretty seriously imported one with the m40 and it was diamondschwarz, had AC, cloth sport seats, and all sorts of other goodies. It would have cost him so much to get it federalized that he ended up selling it before he even got to drive it. :(. He's had over 35 e30's though, and he's only like 32, so he probably wasn't missing much :)

Definitely go clear dude. For the side repeaters you'll need the LED yellow bulbs (they glow orange) as the orange bulbs you get with them are pathetic.

Recently met a English lad here that had purchased a 1968 Dodge (5000 pounds and a big V8) again showing that the grass is always greener on the other side of the "pond".
Do English E30 M42's have solid flywheels as opposed to dual mass? I was wondering if they could also be lightened.
Nice looking cars and photos.

Thanks guys.

318iS' here have crazy heavy flywheels. I don't know if they are solid or dual mass but they are known to have been made heavy by BMW to blunt acceleration - which would have gotten too close to a 325i.

A lot of guys here either put in a stock 325i Flywheel, lighten them by machining (not for amateurs) or order racing flywheels - usually from the USA.

All this doesn't get you more power - just better acceleration, albeit at the expense of refinement.

Will post up pix of the Touring with the new interior and M44 installed this weekend.

Yep. But they were an option on lots of normal cars. Very useful in my opinion...

Hey Ratch, I've seen some of your posts on the E30 Zone in particular the one on your roof skin replacement - very impressive!

Nice looking cars you've had - Lazer Blue FTW! Got any more photo's? I was thinking about putting SE side skirts on my Lazer Blue IS but wasn't sure what it'd look like.

Cheers - that thread is also on here as I got banned from the Zone for being too badical.

Dude, SE skirts are a MUST on any E30 and make it 300% better. I would say do it - you can see what it looks like on my car.

I'll be updating that thread soon as I'm doing a stealth ICE intsall, new interior and paint and major mechanics overhaul - should be a new car by August!
