getting the most from my e30 318is

hello guysi have just brought a e30 318is and wanna use it for the track i dont have endless amounts of money and want to get the most from the engine anyone have any used parts or ideas on how to make the most out of the ump ie up the power cheers guys :)

These engines aren't known for horsepower, and people are still working on unlocking them. The best things to do at this point would probably be a Mark Dsylva chip, an m20 flywheel conversion, and go to a few track days to learn how to drive it fast ;). The only way to get major power is to put a Downing/Atlanta supercharger on it, but that is a bit pricey.

Make sure you have good brakes and go racing! If you really get the bug, go in for a share of a Formula Ford. I definitely have opinions.

Put on improved brake pads, maybe some stainless brake lines and just go to the track, take some lessons. Learning to drive the car will make you faster than almost anything you can do to the car itself. These are quite capable in stock form.

Spend the money on the driver. You will get the greatest value from this.

Werd. I've got three track days logged now with stock suspension, and I am STILL learning more.

have fredio or whatever they are called race pads and ate blue brake fluid and braided hoses and front 60mm lowering springs already so someone metioned a chip do you have a link for these chips

http://www.dsylva-tech.ca is the site for the chips. Also, if your rear springs are still soft, be careful. Cars with this setup have great rake but are prone to snap lift-throttle oversteer.
